Gasket list (Replacement parts)

Standard KAMLOK COUPLER is fitted with Buna-N (NBR) gaskets.
Select and install the gasket according to the fluid and usage conditions.

*The following shows the operating temperature range. Note that this does not guarantee use under various conditions (fluid, pressure, number of attachments/detachments, etc.).
* Because fluorine resin type gaskets using fluorine resin (PTFE and FEP) lack elasticity, they may leak depending on conditions of use. Please contact us for details.

Guideline for gasket replacement

Assess the force required to close the cam arms when connecting or disconnecting KAMLOK fittings. If the force required is too low, the gasket seal may be compromised and leakage may occur. In this case, we recommend replacing the gasket.

*1 Regarding couplers using super fluorine rubber, when the fluid is saturated steam, use at working temperature 160℃ or lower and working pressure 0.6 MPa or lower.

*2 When performing steam cleaning or high-temperature cleaning on fluorine resin (PTFE), fluorine resin (PTFE) jacket (with fluorine rubber), silicone rubber fully covered with fluorine resin (FEP), or fluorine rubber fully covered with fluorine resin (FEP) couplers, be sure to keep the adapter connected. If the gasket is placed in a high temperature environment without connecting the coupler and adapter, the gasket may deform and cause fluid leakage.

Gasket replacement

  • Insert a flathead screwdriver or the like between the main body and the gasket.

Insert a flathead screwdriver or the like between the main body and the gasket.

  • Gasket replacement

Remove the gasket without damaging the gasket seat of the main body.

  • Gasket replacement

Replace with a new gasket and push it in by hand.

  • Gasket replacement

Push in with both hands so that it is as even as possible.

  • Gasket replacement

Confirm that it fits properly into the main body groove to complete replacement.

*When removing the gasket, a part of the gasket may break off and remain in the coupling, which may cause contamination of foreign matter or difficulty in installing a new gasket.
